Some pictures of fragments of stained glass, of various periods, which have been reset or reconstructed. The first three are from West Stourmouth church, Kent - a bishop and a saint:
These splendid ones are from Wells Cathedral (as is the picture of the faceless bishop at the top of this post):
The effect is almost Surrealist...
And this is from Fordwich, near Canterbury - according to the guidebook, when the glass was repaired the heads of these two figures got mixed up (the one on the left should be female, being the Virgin Mary):
